The original Quirk home was a log cabin, originally built by the Wilcox family on land originally owned by them. The addition on the side of the cabin was a summer kitchen.

  1. Hi! My grandfather was William Aemilius Quirk born 1888. His father was William Henry Quirk born 1868 – older brother of James, Walter and Elizabeth Ann. I have been fascinated to read your account of these ‘orphaned’ children and how well they did in life. I had tracked down some of their history but your personal accounts and photos are fascinating!
